"This Is Desperation Raised To Power 1000, Rev. Fathers Don't Wear Cassocks Outside Mass" -D. Melaye

Former Nigeria Lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye has reacted to the photos of Bishops allegedly recognised as members of the Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) at the unveiling of the vice presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress and former governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima.

The pictures sparked mixed reactions online and the Christian Association of Nigeria stated that those men who graced the occasion disguising as its members were hired, not representatives of CAN.

Dino Melaye stressed that the priests of the Catholic Church don't wear cassocks/chasuble outside the celebration of the Holy Mass, and several persons including Father Kelvin Ugwu, a Malawi-based Nigerian priest also made the same claim while schooling his audience.

According to Dino Melaye, the presence of these bishops is nothing but desperation raised to power 1000.

He wrote;

"Reverend Fathers do not wear cassocks outside the celebration of Holy Mass. This is desperation raised to power 1000."
