N100 million Ransom is being Raised in Lagos for a victim Kidnapped from the Kaduna Train -Babajide Otitoju

Investigative journalist, Babajide Otitoju, has spoken concerning the huge ransom demanded by the terrorists who kidnapped passengers from the Abuja-Kaduna train. 

Speaking on TVC News, Babajide revealed what some of the families and relatives of the victims still in captivity have resorted to in their bid to free their loved ones.

Addressing the topic, Babajide said, "The ransom demanded by the terrorists is not easy to raise." I know that they have been contacting some families and some friends are trying to gather money for the release of some individuals. Even here in Lagos State, people are raising money to attain the threshold of N100 million for the release of one of the abductees. Is it easy to raise N100 million in Nigeria today considering the level of poverty in the country?

He continued, "People are extremely poor, yet the terrorists are insisting on receiving a N100 million ransom before releasing the victims." However, the government has said that it will not pay ransom anymore. They may have been paying ransom in the past while deceiving the public, but now the terrorists can not explain why the government has said it will not pay ransom anymore. The consequence of the lies we tell is usually disastrous. The appetites of these terrorists have been widened.
