WE'LL CONTINUE TO PROMOTE PARTNERSHIP TO DRIVE DEVELOPMENT- ABIODUN
The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun says his administration will continue to promote partnership with other States in the country, to drive development.
Prince Abiodun who made this known in Abeokuta during the 2nd quarter of the State Directors of Security(SDSes) Conference, Southwest zone, said the government believes that partnership between the public and the private sectors would engender the growth of the economy.
Abiodun, while noting that his administration would continue to support operations of security agencies in the State with logistics and materials to improve their operations, assured that it would do more to collaborate with security agencies towards finding solutions to the various security challenges facing the State and country as a whole.
"Even though security matters are on the exclusive list of the Federal Government, we however can not afford to drop our guards at this period of global challenges, we will do more to collaborate with security agencies", he said.
Responding, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole said the purpose of security services is to tackle insecurity and other ancillary matters, adding that the security commanders in the State have over the years been able to foster a synergy to intimidate criminals in the State.
Bankole noted that the support received from the State government under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun had contributed to the success recorded by security agencies in tackling insecurity.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, the State Director of Security in the State, Femi Aaron said intelligence sharing and inter-agency collaboration would go a long way in circumventing challenges that might arise in the country, added that all that would be needed is the unifying resolution of the zones commander to achieve the much-desired atmosphere.
