A woman named Mukami from Meru described how her husband kicked her and their children out of the house at night after he returned drunk with his mistress. She was escorted to her parents' home by thugs who did not harm her or her children.

According to Mukami, she met her husband on Facebook and they dated online for six months before meeting in person, at which point he proposed and they began living together.

She states that after a while, they moved in together and began living in the village. Their marriage was fine until her husband began drinking alcohol and began selling everything in the house.

During this time, they were blessed with two children, but he never asked if they had eaten or attended school; she battled to support them on her own by performing odd jobs in the community.

On the night she was evicted, her husband returned home with his mistress and asked for food for the two of them. Since he had left no money to buy food, she informed him that there was none.

She claims that her husband and his mistress brutally beat her and threw her and her two children out of the house at night. She was on her way to her parents' home when she encountered three armed men who demanded to know why she was there at night with her children.

After explaining what had occurred, they asked her to take them to her husband so that they could kill him. However, she told them to simply accompany her to her parents' home, and they did so without causing her any harm.
