The Speaker of the Ekiti House of Assembly, Mr Funminiyi Afuye, has boasted that there can be no breakdown of law and order as a result of religious crisis in the state.
Afuye, who said this on Monday in his congratulatory message to Islamic adherents in Ado-Ekiti said this is because Muslims in Ekiti Ekiti see themselves as brothers and sisters, who are always ready partner with their Christian counterparts.
“Ekiti people are not known for religious intolerance,” Afuye said while rejoicing with Muslim faithful across Nigeria, particularly those in the state on the celebration of 2022 Eid Fitri.
Afuye urged Muslim faithful to imbibe and allow the lessons learnt during the Ramadan fasting to reflect in their daily life.
Afuye thanked the Almighty Allah for granting Muslim faithful, particularly those in Ekiti the grace to witness the 2022 Ramadan fasting and completing it without hitch.
